Glassboro Mayor and Council welcome new Councilwoman Daniele Brida Spence
Mrs. Spence was appointed to fill a Borough Council vacancy on March 26, 2018.
Daniele Brida Spence is a life-long resident of Glassboro. She attended St. Bridget’s Regional School and is a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School and Rowan College of Gloucester County. Daniele currently works for the County of Gloucester as a Freeholder Aide and previously for the Borough of Glassboro Health and Housing Department as well as her family’s trucking company, Anthony M. Brida, Inc. She has more than 30 years of office administration experience and 10 years of experience in government relations.
Daniele is active with numerous boards and commissions. She is Vice Chair of the Glassboro Democrat Committee, a District 11 Committee woman and President of the Glassboro Historical Society, Inc. She is a current member and past trustee of VFW Post 679 Auxiliary, member of the Glassboro Municipal Alliance and the Gloucester County Commission for Women. Daniele served as Chair of the Historic Preservation Commission and as Glassboro Community Events Coordinator. She has been active with the Glassboro Board of Health, Memorial Day Parade Committee, Park and Recreation Golf Tournament Committee and the Community Day Committee.
She is a member of Mary Mother of Mercy Parish and their music ministry, singing and playing guitar mass for both Our Lady Queen of Peace and Our Lady of Lourdes churches. Daniele enjoys performing with local blues band, TK & the Howlers, and entertaining friends and family at her home.
Daniele lives in Glassboro with her husband, Francis Spence, USAF CMsgt (Retired) and Lieutenant NJDOC (Retired) and their two dogs, Leo and Jasmine.
