Newly appointed Glassboro Mayor John E. Wallace III takes office
Previous Mayor Leo McCabe stepped down to allow the next generation to continue taking Glassboro forward.
Mr. John Wallace was previously appointed to fill an unexpired term on Council in January, 2015. He is Chair of the Public Property and Ordinance Committee and serves on the Water and Sewer and Health, Welfare and Recreation Committees. He is also liaison to the Board of Health and the Historic Preservation Commission. His focus is on reducing the cost and size of local government through shared services agreements. Wallace works as a perfusionist in the Department of Surgery at Cooper University Hospital.
A 15-year Glassboro resident, he is a graduate of Washington Township High School. He attended Virginia Tech and the University of Maryland and holds B.A. degrees from Thomas Edison State College.
