Mr. Hector Cabezas has served on Glassboro Council since 2004. He is Chair of the Water and Sewer Committee and serves on the Public Safety and Finance Committees. He is also liaison to the Glassboro Board of Education.
Cabezas played a pivotal role in securing shared services agreements with Gloucester County, cutting more than 12 cents off the local purpose tax. He also spearheaded the Shop Local Property Tax Rebate Card program for Glassboro residents. Hector and his wife have three children, with one still attending Glassboro Schools.
A 30-year resident of Glassboro, Hector has long been active in serving the youth of the community. He served on the Glassboro Board of Education from 1998-2004 where he was chair of the Facilities Committee. He coached with Glassboro Little League for 10 years and park and Recreation soccer for 14 years in addition to boys basketball.
