Art

Glassboro is home to an abudance of artists, and it’s time to shine a spotlight on the incredible talent within our own community. By inviting local artists and art programs to show case their talents, the event aims to amplify the unique voices that contribute to Glassboro’s cultural identity, creating a festival where art echoes the vibrant heart beat of our community.

Performers

The goal is to include local Glassboro musicians, as well as musicians from a wider range of different backgrounds. The Mainstreet Music and Arts Festival to be an event that involves everyone in our community and bridges the gap between the university and the people of Glassboro!

Entrepreneurs

We are actively seeking local entrepreneurs whose diverse perspectives and creative expressions can enrich the festival experience. Having different clothing designers, jewelry makers, etc. will broaden community representation but add an unique dimension to the festival, creating a more engaging and diverse experience for attendees.

Madhavi Devi knew without a doubt songwriting was her calling from a young age. From performing her notebook entries in the elementary school parking lot to dominating talent show stages with ballads about her middle school crush. She grew up busking on the Asbury Park boardwalk, playing open mics throughout her hometown of Ocean County, and worked her way up to playing iconic venues like The Stone Pony and The Asbury Lanes. After touring throughout New England, playing a variety of music festivals including headlining her home Pride festival in Toms River, New Jersey, Madhavi continues to move forward with her art and expand her audience live and online.

HeartBreak

Heartbreak is a pop punk/rock band from New Jersey. The two members, Anthony and Bryan, formed Heartbreak around September of 2020. They started creating our debut EP “Torn in Two” around October of 2020 with the help of Brooks Betts of Mayday Parade. They have plans to continue making music with Brooks in the future, and there should be plenty more where our EP came from!

Gustavo

Gustavo Andres is an exciting new Latin/Pop singer/songwriter from New Jersey. Forging an early connection with music, Gustavo stems from an Ecuadorian family with a rich musical heritage. His grandfather and twin brother formed "Los Hermanos Arce", a popular musical duo who performed around Ecuador and the U.S. By the age of 14, confident, creative, and keen to cultivate his talent, Gustavo began learning guitar. Around the same time, he started developing his songwriting skills: his words became his tool for expressing his feelings. A contemporary artist whose songs are an expression of love, he is devoted to creating meaningful songs that touch the heart, he aims to inspire others with his music.

Shark Earrings

Shark Earrings is a four piece indie/emo band based out of New Jersey. Lead singer Sammi Kantor, bassist Max Adams, guitarist Mike Landolfi, and drummer Joey Hess met in the attic of a three-story Wawa in Glassboro, where the local scene helped them develop their sound and continues to provide them with constant support. Their debut EP, “Mutual Toxic Positivity”, combines their various influences and went #1 on every Billboard chart (don’t look that up). When not writing or performing, you can usually find them wrestling each other at basement shows or drowning in shallow puddles.

Polaroid Fade

Polaroid Fade was formed out of a love for bands like The Smiths, The Sundays and The Ocean Blue. With 18 year old siren Nicoletta Giuliani at the front, the South Jersey band hints back to 90’s indie rock and all the fun of no frills, no glitz jangle pop.
