Government

At the heart of Glassboro’s vibrant community is a municipal government dedicated to leadership, service, and connection. Our mission is to provide thoughtful executive leadership, set strategic priorities, and guide initiatives that enhance the quality of life in every neighborhood. We go beyond routine administration — coordinating community outreach, workshops, events, and programs that inform, engage, and bring residents together.

Led by the Mayor and Borough Council, our government creates, passes, and updates local laws, oversees the annual budget, and works to ensure effective delivery of essential services. Council members act as advocates for residents, helping connect the community to the resources and services they need while shaping policies that respond to evolving local needs.

Mayor and Council Members

The Mayor and Borough Council serve as the legislative body of the Borough of Glassboro, working together to create, pass, and amend local laws and ordinances that guide the community. Each year, they also review and approve the Borough’s operating and capital budgets to ensure responsible financial stewardship.

Comprised of six Council Members who represent the entire Borough, the Council serves as a vital link between Glassboro residents and their municipal government. Council Members advocate for all citizens and assist constituents by connecting them to Borough departments, services, and community resources.

The Mayor and Council establish public policy to meet the evolving needs of Glassboro by initiating legislation, setting priorities, and overseeing municipal services throughout the year to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Through this work, they help ensure that Glassboro remains a great place to live, work, and play—while continuing to grow as a welcoming destination in New Jersey.
