Tuesdays Just Got Golden: Free Parking & Exclusive Discounts for Senior Residents in the Borough of Glassboro

Glassboro launches an initiative for senior residents to enjoy the charm of Town Square and exclusive DISCOUNTS from participating Glassboro businesses.

GLASSBORO, NEW JERSEY ---The Borough of Glassboro is excited to announce the launch of Golden Tuesdays, a new program that offers complimentary parking and exclusive discounts from participating businesses throughout the Borough. This two-part program is specifically designed to encourage senior residents aged 65 and older to explore the beauty of Town Square and enjoy the many amenities available throughout the community.

Councilman George Cossabone's brainchild, Golden Tuesday, is a program specifically designed to provide seniors in the Borough with opportunities to stay active and engaged. The program also aims to encourage local businesses to offer discounts for older individuals, thereby expanding their customer base and fostering a more inclusive community.

“Glassboro's new initiative, Golden Tuesday, aims to encourage seniors to explore Glassboro. By offering free parking in our downtown and exclusive discounts, older residents can enjoy a worry-free parking experience while saving money.” said Councilman George Cossabone, “We want to make sure Glassboro seniors feel welcome and have the chance to explore everything Glassboro has to offer.”

The senior citizen parking permit will provide free parking opportunities in Downtown Glassboro, encompassing Rowan Blvd. and East High Street, as well as the public parking lots. The senior citizen savings card will be distributed when residents pick up their parking pass.

Participating businesses include Ciconte’s Pizzera, CREAM, El Mariachi, El Mariachi Snacks, Filippo’s Pizzeria & Grill, GoodFella’s New York Italian Deli, High Grounds Coffee Roasters, Italian Affair, Landmark Americana, Monarch Diner, and the Philly Pretzel Factory/Cookie Munchers.

Residents are encourage to check back on permit release dates and when to pick up your parking pass.
