The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. is proud to announce Glassboro VFW Post 679 has been selected as a 2018 National Outstanding Community Service Post.
VFW Post 679 was specifically named for the support and education of our veteran community, including weekly PTSD groups, social events for veterans’ care facilities, hosting bingo and pizza parties at the Vineland Veterans Home, as well as support for Veterans Haven through the collection of clothing and needed goods. Post 679 also honors the local police department and fire department through donations and luncheons, and the local school district by promoting Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen. They also support the Glassboro Little League and Midget Football. They provide local veterans and their families a modern, maintained post with a safe and friendly environment to socialize and gather.
