Celebrate Community Milestone at 30th Annual Glassboro CommUNITY Day
Celebrate Local Flavors, Community Partners, and Summer Fun on June 13th
Glassboro, NJ—Kick off the summer in style with Glassboro CommUNITY Day on Saturday, June 13th, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Glassboro Town Square. For the past 30 years, CommUNITY Day has celebrated the diversity, vibrancy, and inclusivity of Glassboro, New Jersey. Enjoy a day full of connecting with community partners, musical performances, activities, and free family fun.
“30 years of Glassboro CommUNITY Day is a true milestone achievement, and a testament to the community at large. While Glassboro has undergone many improvements and expansions in the past 30 years, the one thing that has never changed is our dedication to celebrating the community members who call Glassboro, NJ home,” said Council President Anna Miller.
The event will kick off at 11 a.m. with the award-winning Glassboro High School marching band marching through Town Square to welcome attendees, followed by performances by the Glassboro High School Select Choir, Jazz Band, and Cheer Squad. Attendees can also expect performances from Gloucester County Boys & Girls Club, Circle Haven, and a beginner yoga demonstration from the Glassboro-based non-profit Seeds of Love Yoga.
“CommUNITY Day stands as a day where we remember the long history of Glassboro and celebrate all of the recent achievements within the community,” said Councilman George Cossabone. “The continued efforts of Glassboro local businesses, community partners, and the Borough have once again culminated in a day of free entertainment and fun, just like it has the past 30 years.”
This action-packed, family-friendly day is full of activities for the whole family. Enjoy the mouth-watering flavors of El Mariachi, Chick-Fil-A Glassboro, Peewee’s Ice Cream, and Matty G Dogz. Explore our dedicated kids zone and free activities in our vendor zone. And enjoy free face painting with Art for Hope and a glam station by Ben’s Barber Shop.
