Celebrate 30 Years of “Unity within the CommUNITY” at Glassboro’s Annual CommUNITY Day
Enjoy local flavors, family-friendly fun, and free community activities.
Glassboro, NJ — Kick off the summer in style with Glassboro’s annual CommUNITY Day celebration on June 13th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Glassboro Town Square. For the past thirty years, Glassboro CommUNITY Day has been a cherished annual tradition that highlights improvements, achievements, and community organizations throughout the Borough.
The celebration begins at 11 a.m. with the Glassboro High School Marching band parading through Glassboro Town Square. Expect additional musical performances from the award-winning Glassboro High School Select Choir, Glassboro High School Jazz Band, the Gloucester County Boys and Girls Club, and Circle Haven. Local Glassboro non-profit, Seeds of Love Yoga, will also be giving a free yoga demonstration during the event.
“It’s a true achievement to look back on thirty years of Glassboro CommUNITY Day. This event is a reflection of the diversity, unity, and collaboration of the Glassboro community,” said Mayor John E. Wallace III. “The generous support of Nexus Properties has allowed us to continue expanding and improving our annual Glassboro community celebration leading up to this historic anniversary.”
Throughout Glassboro Town Square, attendees will be able to explore the vendor zone, which will be full of Glassboro community partners, local non-profit organizations, and artisan vendors. Connect with local businesses, explore community resources, and shop for artisan goods all in one place.
Families and children will also be able to explore the Kids Zone, featuring a moon bounce, inflatable obstacle course, and mini golf. Attendees will also be able to enjoy local flavors along Rowan Boulevard from several Glassboro food trucks and Downtown restaurants.
